Couple of Interesting Dance Changes

By now, it's old news that the Kerrs have decided to go back to their 2008 Scottish OD for Turin. I'm glad about this, because although I liked their 'I've Been Everywhere', it was getting a little lost in between Samuelson/Bates and Pechalat/Bourzat, and besides, I am not going to pass up the opportunity to see John in a kilt one last time. I hope they do the best they can do. They are considered an outside chance for a medal, but I guess a lot of it will come down to potential error on the parts of the other contenders - and, of course, John's twizzles.

The latest change that I've heard of is that Pechalat/Bourzat will be going back to last year's circus program for their FD. They've also been using this in exhibition this season, so they obviously like it, and so do I, so I'm happy. It definitely makes sense for them, too, since they have been making error after error in their 'Requiem' program this season. I am, however, a little sad, as this almost definitely gives them the final edge over the Kerrs, in my eyes. Also, I am sure that seeing that program with Pechalat's new hair will make me miss her adorable bob from last season even more.

I would love for both of these teams to make top five, if only so I can see both their exhibitions; I basically live for P/B's 'Andy'.

Competition officially starts tomorrow, with the CD and the Pairs SP and I am definitely excited. Somehow, Kemp/King drew to skate in the penultimate group, right between Savchenko/Szolkowy and the Zhangs, which is either great luck or bad luck for them, I'm not sure. They seem to have been pulling those sorts of draws a lot this season. The Kerrs are also in the penultimate group, and they'll skate right before Virtue/Moir. P/B are skating in the final group.
