Even though this was probably the last CD ever, I could still only bring myself to watch a few teams, so I don't have many comments to make.I was really hoping that the Kerrs could sneak a medal and they're not exactly out of the hunt but I'm pretty sure Faiella/Scali will get it. They skated great, though, so as long as they get two more clean programs, I'm sure they'll be happy.
Pechalat/Bourzat also looked good, I loved the colouring of their costumes. I am kind of just generally in love with those two. Eurosport had Barbara Fusar-Poli conducting interviews with some of the teams, and P/B explained that they are hoping that bringing back their circus FD will 'bring them luck', which is cute. I love their accents.
The Eurosport commentators commented that Cappellini/Lanotte are the best looking team in ice dance, and I'd have to agree with them. They're both just so pretty! They skated well, too, and are probably likely to stay in seventh or thereabouts.Obviously, Tessa & Scott and Meryl & Charlie were both wonderful. I especially loved the colour of Meryl's dress. I'd really love for D/W to get the world title, but I love V/M, too, so I'm not too concerned.
One of the things I like best about the CD is the way that all the guys look in their tuxes, and I maintain that, when John Kerr stops skating, he should become a model.
Pairs starts really, really soon. I'll have my fingers crossed for Savchenko/Szolkowy, as usual!
